I'm moving a long distance with a lot of furniture, including wardrobes, beds, and other equipment. I'm thinking of renting a full truck so that my cargo is the only thing in it and nothing gets damaged. Has anyone done this before? How reliable is it? Is it true that this type of transportation is faster?

Have you compared FTL to less-than-truckload (LTL)? I moved from Illinois to Oregon in March. I remember it as if it were yesterday—there was a lot of furniture! I was most worried that my furniture might get scratched or damaged. To avoid any risks, I rented a full moving truck just for my move! By the way, I read the definition of a full truck load meaning on the website. It really works! No other packages were loaded. In four days, I received everything at my new place exactly on schedule. So it's up to you. This option is not suitable if you are trying to save money. If you're planning a big move, especially a long-distance one, I'd recommend choosing a full truckload.
