I’m trying to register for a few UK-based services, and they all ask for a local number. I don’t live in the UK, so getting a SIM card is pretty inconvenient. Has anyone figured out a simpler way?

I had the same trouble a while back. Instead of waiting for a SIM, I set up a UK line online through https://cheapvirtualnumber.com/. It gave me a working number straight away that handles calls, texts, and verifications. Everything is managed online, and it feels like having a local number even when you’re not in the UK
